Here's a special opportunity to explore your creativity this summer.
Register now for one of the Expressive Art Workshops taking place a Guild Park on Saturday August 24.
Each two-hour workshop includes:
an inspiring walk to connect with the park's natural beauty,
a guided meditation to tap into your imagination
a hands-on art session to create your own drawings
No art experience is required and all art materials are supplied. Just bring an open mind, and comfy walking shoes!
Plus, everyone who registers gets their own set of high-quality oil pastels to use and take home.
The workshops are led by Visual Artist, Carol Knowlton-Dority, and held at Guild Park's Sculptor's Cabin, 201 Guildwood Pkwy., Scarborough.
Here's what people said during Carol's previous workshops;
"I haven't done this for years"
"I lost track of time"
"I feel so free and relaxed"
Workshops are for adults only. Times on Aug 24 are:
Saturday morning from 11 am to 1 pm
Saturday afternoon from 2:30 to 4:30 pm
Participation is limited to the first 12 people who pre-register on-line at https://www.friendsofguildpark.com/event-list
Registration is $35 per person and includes all art supplies and your own set of oil pastels.
At past workshops, family members and friends often registered together to share the fun and creative experience with spouses, adult children and like-minded colleagues.
Note: The workshops are for those 16 years and older. Due to the meditation and limited spaces, please leave pets at home.
Plan now to add more creativity into your life before summer is gone.
