Santa greeted lots of Guildwood's boys and girls on his special visit to Guild Park's Christmas Tree Lighting Saturday November 29.

A Big Community Turn-out
About 200 people, from families with young tots to seniors enjoying the event, filled Guild Inn Estate's Gazebo space for this popular community event.
Adding to the fun with Santa, people heard the musical duo, Paul & Gerry, perform Christmas songs with the unique combination of electric ukulele and barbershop voice.
A Night of Festive Activities
All evening long the crowd got to sample mini-donuts, enjoy hot chocolate and cider. Kids got to listen to a reading of "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" and decorate hand-made holiday crafts.

The special raffle of Holiday Mickey and Minnie Mouse plush toys was won with the lucky ticket drawn by Santa himself!
The evening was organized by Friends of Guild Park, the award-winning not-for-profit organization that's been making Guild Park better since 2013.
Thanks for the Support
A big thank you to the community-minded organizations that contributed to the event: Guildwood Village Community Association; City of Toronto; Guild Inn Estate; Carol Foderick Real Estate Group and Tammy's - Your Independent Grocer.

Many people that evening asked how they could help support this event. A simple and effective way is to make a donation through Friends of Guild Park's secure website at https://veritascharityservices.com/campaigns/friends-of-guild-park/
Donations of any amount are welcome.
On this campaign site, you'll find more about Friends of Guild Park and our partnership with the Canadian charity, the Veritas Foundation.

Thanks to past donations to Friends of Guild Park initiatives, Guild Park is now home to two official heritage plaques. The latest Heritage Toronto plaque was installed in June 2025 at the historic Greek Theatre (see photo).
All contributions go toward Guild Park's activities and improvements. Donors will also receive an official 2025 tax receipt directly from the Veritas Foundation.
Thanks to all the families and friends who came to welcome Santa to Guild Park. It was a fun way to enjoy the start of this year's Christmas and festive season, here in the heart of Guildwood Village.
