Find out about Toronto's first skyscraper, the Temple Building, and the man responsible for the 10-storey structure on Bay Street. Guild Park has the only remnants from the historic building, which was demolished decades ago.

The 1895 building helped establish Bay Street as the city's financial centre. The man, born in 1841, bridged two cultures in the era when Canada was becoming a nation.
The 60-minute walking tour is organized by Friends of Guild Park. It starts at the park's Sculltor's Cabin at 1:30 pm. Enjoy some fresh brewed coffee, either before or after the outdoor walk.
The tour is free to Friends of Guild Park members, others by donation. Recommended for those interested in the history of Toronto and Guild Park. Families welcome.
Guild Park is located at 201 Guildwood Pkwy., Toronto M1E 1P5. Plenty of free parking onsite. Regular TTC bus service to the park's front gates (take Route 116 from Kennedy subway station).
