Guild Park’s spring and early summer calendar offers a rich mix of guided walks, seasonal trails and architectural tours to bring nature and history to life through storytelling.

The season begins with Jane’s Walk (Fri. May 1, 6:45 pm), where participants will explore the park’s Monument Walk, once a roadway that’s now lined with artifacts, structures, forest and hidden histories. Both a reflective walk and community-based conversation, this event highlights how landscapes evolve over time and how stories remain embedded in place.

This is part of the city-wide Jane’s Walk weekend, which celebrates the ideas of the late Jane Jacobs, innovative urbanist, writer and Toronto resident. The walk also repeats on Sun. May 3 at 2 pm

Also on Sunday May 3, the Trillium Walk offers a quieter, nature-focused experience, guiding visitors through the park’s forest boardwalk and Livingston Trail in search of Ontario’s provincial flower. It’s a chance to connect with spring’s emerging flora and natural heritage in a relaxed, accessible setting.

Later in May, Doors Open Toronto (May 23–24) brings one of the city’s most popular weekends to Guild Park. This year’s theme, “The World in a City,” is reflected in a new series of guided tours exploring the park’s unique combination of global architectural fragments, artistic heritage, and natural landscape.

At Guild Park, Doors Open participants will discover the park’s four distinct worlds – Nature, Architecture, Performing Arts (with Guild Festival Theatre) and Creative Arts (at the Clark Centre for the Arts). The free tours require advance registration at Doors Open TO. More information at this link.

The City of Toronto invites you to share your participation in Doors Open Toronto on social media and encourage you to tag your posts with the official event hashtag #DOT26. You can also tag the official accounts on:

Together, these tours highlight what makes Guild Park distinctive: a place where nature, art, and history come together in ways that are both educational and deeply engaging.

Friends of Guild Park is a volunteer-led organization. Tours like these are made possible through the support of our members and donors.
