Summer activities are in full swing at Guild Park & Gardens this weekend. Be sure to visit the park while the sun is bright, there's a summer breeze along the bluffs and art and nature activities are blossoming
Pollinator Gardening Talk
Saturday Aug 23 - 10 am to noon - FREE - At Guild Park's Sculptor's Cabin

Learn all about how to collect native wildflower seeds and start your own pollinator garden with your very own seeds!
Native gardening expert, Sandra Bill, of Toronto Nature Stewards and the Bendale Butterflyway, is special guest speaker at this free talk. She'll explain how to harvest native wildflower seeds and nurture them so they become part of a thriving garden

Seating is limited, so bring your own folding chair to be sure of a seat. The talk takes place outdoors right beside Guild Park's award-winning Native Pollinator Garden - an initiative by the Guldwood Butterflyway gardeners and Friends of Guild Park volunteers.
Special bonus: Everyone who comes out gets to take home a supply of free seeds (and possibly some seedlings) from Guild Park’s Pollinator Garden.

Afternoon Poetry Readings

Join in this popular session that brings people together outdoors to be inspired by poems and the spoken word. Part of Toronto's Arts in the Parks program and organized by the poetry group, Tender Possibilities. Drop by at 1:30 to mix and mingle with fellow poetry lovers and the afternoon's featured poet.
