Discover Guild Park One Step at a Time

What will you discover on our next Monday morning Activity Walk through Guild Park?

One Monday morning, participants quietly watched a family of deer stop for a drink along a wooded trail. It's just one of the unexpected moments that make our free New Horizons for Seniors Activity Walks so memorable.
Another week, participants watched a fox make its way through the park.
On almost every walk, someone points out a flower they've never noticed before, a bird they've never heard, or a hidden pathway they didn't know existed.

That's the beauty of Guild Park... and the pleasure of discovering it with a friendly walking group led by volunteers from Friends of Guild Park.
No two walks are ever quite the same.
If you're an active adult aged 55 and over, you and your friends are welcome to join the free weekly Activity Walks, part of the Government of Canada's New Horizons for Seniors Program.

Each Monday morning begins with a light warm-up before the group sets off on a relaxed 45-minute walk through Guild Park's forests, gardens and spectacular landscapes overlooking Lake Ontario.
Along the way you'll discover beautiful natural areas, remarkable heritage features and quiet places that many visitors never experience on their own.

Just as importantly, you'll enjoy the company of a welcoming group of people who appreciate spending time outdoors together. Many participants come on their own, and it's not unusual for new friendships to begin over refreshments after the walk.
Whether you've lived beside Guild Park for decades or are visiting for the first time, every week reveals something new because nature is constantly changing.

The flowering dogwood of early summer may have faded, but native wildflowers are now in bloom, butterflies are active in the pollinator garden, and the park continues to change from week to week.
The only way to know what you'll discover next Monday is to come along.
