More than 150 older adults aged 55+ have already registered to discover Guild Park through Friends of Guild Park's new New Horizons for Seniors Program – and there's still plenty of time to join them.

The program has launched its weekly Activity Walks, hands-on Gardening & Stewardship Activities, and inspiring Experiential Art Workshops. Participants have explored Guild Park's gardens and forest trails, learned about native plants and pollinators, created imaginative works of art, enjoyed light exercise, and, perhaps most importantly, enjoyed meeting new friends.

Beyond the activities themselves, the program is introducing many first-time visitors to Guild Park and helping build a stronger community around one of Toronto's most remarkable public spaces.

The response has been overwhelmingly positive, with participants describing the programs as inspiring, educational, enjoyable and memorable. Many have already registered for additional activities throughout the summer.

Whether you enjoy walking in nature, discovering local history, learning about wildlife, gardening, or exploring your creative side, there's something for every active adult aged 55 and over.

All activities are free and continue throughout the summer and fall thanks to funding from the Government of Canada's New Horizons for Seniors Program.

Registration is easy. Visit www.friendsofguildpark.com/seniors to view the full schedule and register online (schedule also included below)

If you know someone who would enjoy spending time outdoors, meeting new people and learning something new, please share the program info with them.

Free activities are now underway at Guild Park for active people 55+. The program includes weekly outdoor walks, gardening and stewardship talks plus hands-on art workshop.  Simply register in advance on-line.
