About the event
Sunday Stroll at Guild Alive Arts Festival
Get the inside story about how some of Guild Park's most popular sculptures, including "The Bear", "St. Francis & the Wolf" and "The Mobius Curve" were created by resident artists during the Guild of All Arts era.
Also, you'll be able to admire the bronze portrait of Canada's only "musical knight", Sir Ernest MacMillan, which most park vistors overlook.
The tour's finale is the one-of-a-kind display of works by the Guild's last two artists-in-residence, Dorsey James and Elizabeth Fraser Williamson.
Sunday Strolls at Guild Park take place on the last Sunday of each summer month. Each walk is about 40-minutes long and highlights a specific theme about the site. The program is hosted by Friends of Guild Park, the volunteer group that brings activities and new appreciation to the historic 88-acre public site.
The August Sunday Stroll takes place Sun. Aug. 25 starting at 2 pm from Guild Park's Sculptor's Cabin. Theme: The Landmark Greek Theatre/Bank of Toronto.
