About the event
Join Friends of Guild Park and the Guildwood Butterflyway Project for Pollinator Pathways on Sunday September 20, a fun community celebration of native plants, pollinators and environmental stewardship.
We’ll be giving away free native plants, while supplies last, for participants to grow in their gardens and other suitable spaces. Then comes the fun part: show us where your plant is going!
Participants can add a butterfly sticker to our Pollinator Pathways Community Map, creating a colourful picture of native plants spreading outward from Guild Park into neighbourhoods across Scarborough and beyond.
The event also celebrates the fourth anniversary of Guild Park’s award-winning Pollinator Garden, first planted in October 2022.
Visitors can learn more about native plants and pollinators and hear a seed-saving talk from a representative of Toronto Nature Stewards.
Every new native plant provides another opportunity to support butterflies, bees and other pollinators. Put hundreds of individual plantings together, and we begin creating a pollinator pathway across our community.
Come to the Sculptor’s Cabin, get a native plant and help us fill the map with butterflies!
