About the event
This program by Tender Possibilities encourages young adults explore the power of poetry and creative placemaking in inspiring cultural spaces. This initiative is designed to bring people together face-to-face to share ideas and experiences.

Each event starts at Guild Park's Scuptor's Cabin. There, participants get acquainted and meet the guest poet. The group then walks to an inspiring, quiet site in the park for readings, discussion and reflection.
This is the first program in the 2025 summer series of poetry readings at Guild Park. The program is back with a new group of poets and participants after its popular launch at Guild Park last year.
The June 15 featured poet is Tiana Reid, assistant professor in the English Department at York University, where she teaches black literature. Her writing has been published in Aperture, Momus. The Nation, The New York Review of Books, and elsewhere. She is working on a book of poetry called Nightnursing.
Tender Possibilities' 2025 poetry events at Guild Park are scheduled for the following Sunday afternoons starting at 2:00 pm: June 15 & 29; July 20; Aug. 10 & 24 (dates subject to change). Part of Toronto’s Arts in the Parks program. Friends of Guild Park is pleased to be the community partner for this year's series of Arts In the Parks programs.
