About the event
Enjoy finding out about the important Canadians associated with Guild Park & Gardens:
From an indigenous entreprenuer to internationally-known sculptors.
A Toronto musician who practised at a German POW camp and went on to be knighted at Buckingham Palace,
An artist who taught her classes at the Guild for 25 years, then got evicted
A Nobel Prize-winner, who came to the Guild Inn for friendship and inspiration, but died on a secret mission in WWII
Guild Park's architecutural features and outdoor artworks are full of these and other stories.
These amazing - and true - tales about Canadian hereos aren't taught in schools or featured by many of today's commentators.
But there're at Guild Park! You just have to visit to hear about them for yourself.
This is an ideal tour for everyone interested in Canada's rich and diverse history.... and anyone who'd like to enjoy the unique art, architecture and nature at Guild Park.
This is also an opportunity to get acquainted with the site - especially Friends of Guild Park's new members who joined during the recent Guild Alive With Culture festival.
These public tours are led by volunteers of Friends of Guild Park. The walks are entirely outside, so bring weather-appropriate clothing and comfy walking shoes.
The tour takes about 75 minutes - and no two tours are the same - so bring your questions and memories about Guild Park!.
Tours are free to FGP members.
For non-members, the suggested donation for the tour is $15 per person, or you can become a member and enjoy a complimentary tour.
All proceeds go toward helping improve Guild Park & Gardens.
